learning our classroom routines, while building relationships with new peers and teachers. 

What We've Been Up To

August

Author study: Oliver Jeffers
During Literacy centres we have been exploring Oliver Jeffer's Stuck story. Students have been practicing orally retelling the story, sequencing the important events in sequential order, creating replicas of the characters and setting, etc. 






Toonie for Terry
JSM is working towards raising awareness towards Cancer and Cancer research. While focussing on Terry Fox and his legacy, students are working together to fundraise money for the Terry Fox foundation. 

Making colours
Students were exploring primary and secondary colours by creating their water walk starting with primary colors and watching while the colours absorbed into the paper towel and began to mix creating the secondary colours.
