This month has been an exciting month before our Winter break! We have been exploring the concept of snow. While reading the 'Snowball' poem our students chose a snowball to keep as a pet! During the 'Hot and Cold' inquiry students brought snow inside to determine what happens to snow when the temperature is increased.
We are introducing blending sounds into our reading. During Literacy centres students have been discovering how to combine 'th', 'sh', and 'ch' blends into words.
Students have been completing Winter based art projects all month!
We decorated our classroom Christmas tree! Students created mult-part patterned candy cane ornaments to decorate the tree. They created a blueprint first determining which pattern they would create.
